Tel Aviv stocks are starting the Monday session with mild gains on razor-thin total turnover of NIS 12 million. The Maof-25 and TA-100 indices are both rising 0.4%. Tech stocks are rising by 0.5%.
Teva Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq:TEVA) is slipping 0.3% on the market's second-highest volume of NIS 1.1 million.
Bank shares have reversed starting dips. Bank Hapoalim is up 0.4%, Mizrahi Bank is gaining 0.5% and Israel Discount Bank is climbing 0.2%. Bank Leumi is flat.
Bezeq is continuing its northbound trek with another 1.5% climb on an NIS 1.4 million turnover after Ma'ariv today reported that Eurocom and Polar Investments (formerly known as Poalim Investments) are negotiating to acquire control in the national phone company.
Koor Industries (Nasdaq:KOR) is climbing 1.5% despite news that it may have to take an additional charge on its investment in ECI, after selling a 12.5% stake in the telecoms equipment maker to the Isal-Dovrat-Ofer group.
