TASE to start euro options trading on November 28

Says trade will help investors hedge against euro-shekel fluctuations
Publish date:

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange will start options trading in the euro on November 28, to provide investors and companies with protection against the euro's fluctuations against the shekel, it said today.

The TASE said it decided to introduce euro options in light of an expected rise in business with European Union states and the start of mass circulation of new euro coins and banknotes across 12 countries on January 1, 2002.

Dollar options are already traded in Tel Aviv.
