Tel Aviv indices are up a mild 0.9% this morning on NIS 13 million turnover, in response to Wall Street's 0.3% gain at closing last night despite escalating political tensions.
The Maof-25 is up 0.33%, the TA-100 is rising 0.38% and the Tel Tech 15 is up a heftier 0.8%.
Teva Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq:TEVA) rises 1.2% on NIS 2 million, the highest on the floor, having closed with a positive 0.9% arbitrage gap in the U.S.
Elron Electronic Industries (Nasdaq:ELRN) is up 3.2% on NIS 310,000 turnover, and Discount Investment Corporation is rising 0.7% on NIS 1 million turnover, still unaffected by announcement by holding Given Imaging of a planned secondary Nasdaq issue in an effort to raise $43 million.
Given reported its shareholders plan to sell shares in a similar sum. Elron has a 7.3% stake in Given, which has developed a video capsule for the detection of lower intestine disorders. Discount Investment has a 26.7% stake in Given.
