According to a TNS Teleseker survey updated in January 2001, 1.27 million Israelis use the Internet.
The study also showed that 39% of Jewish households are connected to the Net, 36% of surfers actually bought something through the net, 26% of users started using the Net this past year, and 11% use the Net from work only. In other words, only 7% of the surfing population actually bought something via the Internet.
The Teleseker Internet Monitor examines the surfing habits of the Israeli user, as well as the typical surfers profile, both on the business and the private sector.
The survey encompassed 1,000 individuals older than 13, and about 400 businesses from all sectors.
