Start-Up Sells Management System to Mercedes Benz Unit

Credit arm buys network traffic cop from NetReality.

Mercedes Benz Credit

has bought a network management and control system from Tel Aviv-based start-up

NetReality

.

The system will serve all 18 branches of the credit company, which belongs to the

DaimlerChrysler

(DCX)

) group.

NetReality designs hardware-software solutions to control traffic and avert congestion on networks. The solutions do not increase bandwidth but instead maximize its utilization in wide-area networks.

Some computer applications require narrowband -- like email -- and others need wideband -- like videoconferencing. As the computers in a network try to operate different applications at the same time, congestion and inefficient resource allocation results. NetReality helps to prioritize the traffic.

NetReality's customer base includes
