Sphera, a provider of management solutions of thousands of websites to Internet providers, has completed a $20 million financing round. In its initial October round, Sphera raised $15 million. Today it announced a $5 million investment by American-European VC fund, Vision Capital and by the VC arm of Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), Banc of America Equity Partners.

The initial $15 million stage in the second financing round was led by Italian TLcom, which invested $6 million. Existing investors in the company, Jerusalem Venture Partners invested $6 million, and Gemini Capital Fund Management put in $3 million. Other investors in the company that did not invest in this round are the CSK Corporation (Nasdaq:CSKKY) and Reuters Greenhouse Fund.

Sphera's flagship product, the HostingDirector, enables more efficient management of Internet services for Internet providers, server providers and webhosting companies.

Founded in 1998 and managed by Tamar Naor, Sphera has 80 workers, 55 in its R&D center in Israel and the rest in its New York headquarters and in its sales offices in London and Washington.
