Samsung Electronics

, one of the world's top technology companies, is aiming for double-digit sales growth in 2010.

Samsung, the world's biggest maker of flat screen TVs and No. 2 in mobile phone sales, told shareholders Friday that its "financial standing is on a global level. We have become a world class company," the

Samsung said its sales would benefit from continued growth in the global economy.

"We hope to see a two-digit growth compared to year 2009" sales, said Samsung President and CEO Choi Gee-sung, referring to percentage change,

Samsung had record sales of 136.29 trillion won, or $120.48 billion at current exchange rates, in 2009 on a consolidated basis,
