Samsung Galaxy S Androids Unveiled - TheStreet

Samsung Fascinate

Black with chrome details, the Samsung Fascinate will be sold by Verizon and comes with the phone maker's redesigned Super AMOLED display. According to the Korean firm, the new display delivers a contrast ratio of 50,000:1 and a touchscreen response time of one hundredth of a millisecond. With a 6-axis motion sensor and a 4-inch display, the Fascinate is also aimed at the gaming community.

Samsung Epic 4G

Samsung is touting the Epic 4G as a potential challenger to other next-generation smartphones, such as the critically-acclaimed

Evo 4G.

Like the Evo 4G, the Epic is sold by Sprint and is Samsung's first Android-powered 4G device. The phone maker is also using the Epic 4G to bang a multimedia drum. The Epic 4G will have access to Samsung's soon-to-be-launched Media Hub, a sort of online video store where users will be able to purchase and rent TV shows and movies.

Samsung Vibrant

Sold by

T-Mobile USA,

the Vibrant is also being pushed by Samsung as a multimedia device. The phone comes pre-loaded with a number of entertainment features such as the movie

Kindle for Android e-book application. The phone will be available on July 21.

Samsung Captivate

Powered by version 2.1 of Google's

Android OS,

the Captivate will be sold by AT&T. With a 4-inch display and a 1-Ghz Hummingbird application processor, the phone also comes with Samsung's Social Hub feature, which integrates social networking services, personal and business email and calendars and contacts.
