Salesforce Boosts Revenue View
The company sees strong momentum for its AppExchange system.

rose 3.5% Tuesday after the business software company boosted its fiscal 2008 revenue forecast.

For the year ending in January 2008, Salesforce now sees revenue of $710 million to $720 million, up from an earlier forecast of $700 million to $710 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call project revenue of $710.9 million.
"The continued momentum of our AppExchange ecosystem is creating expanded business opportunities for salesforce.com," the company said.
Separately, Salesforce said it will create a revenue-sharing system through its AppStore Web site, which allows customers to buy software applications from several vendors.
Shares of Salesforce recently were trading up $1.35 to $39.90.
