posted third-quarter results after the market close Thursday that beat analysts earnings-per-share estimates on a non-GAAP basis.

The mobile resource management (MRM) provider reported a net loss of $3.6 million, or 6 cents a share, compared to the $37.9 million, or 61 cents a share, it posted last year. Excluding items, however, the company reported earnings before tax of $2.1 million, or 3 cents a share.

Analysts, on average, were looking for earnings of a penny a share, according to Thomson First Call.

The Fremont, Calif., company posted revenue of $25.2 million, up slightly from the $25 million it posted a year ago and higher than the $24.5 million that analysts were expecting.

Shares were higher by 11 cents, or 1.8%, at $6.24 in recent after-hours trading.
