The Communications Ministry has made it clear to Bezeq that in case of a merger between Yes satellite TV and Matav Cable Systems (Nasdaq:MATV), all of Bezeq's infrastructures will have to be made available to the competition. This was told to the representatives of Matav in a meeting they held with Communications Minister Reuven Rivlin Thursday, Ma'ariv is reports.

Rivlin did stress in the meeting that he objected the merger, which he felt would end the ministry's plans to start competition between the cable companies and Bezeq. The Antitrust Commissioner also criticized the merger, though he has not outright rejected it.
