RIM Works to Fix BlackBerry Outages

Reports say the BlackBerry service appears to have been restored for some users as of Wednesday morning.

said it was working to resolve delays that BlackBerry users in the Americas were experiencing.

BlackBerry users in many parts of Asia including China and India, also were reporting outages, reports say.

"Technical teams are actively working to resolve the issue for those impacted," the company said in a statement.

, phone calling and texting services appeared to be functional, but users in the Americas have been unable to send or receive e-mail messages.

It's the second time in less than a week that BlackBerry users in North America have had to deal with e-mail outages on their BlackBerry devices.

Further reports says the service appears to have been restored for some users as of Wednesday morning.
