The company, which operates under the orange brandname, calls its new service Orange Taxi. It enables phone users to order taxi service from the closest station based on the user's location.
The service was devised by PlatiNet Communications, a startup in which Partner invested $500,000 through its wholly-owned subsidiary Partner Future Communications.
The service is based on PlatiNet's proprietary QuickOn system, which enables service providers to provide location-based, voice portal, information and advanced network services. The system supports all kinds of mobile phones, the company says.
PlatiNet is registered in the United States. It operates out of an R&D firm in Park Afek, Rosh Ha'Ayin, also called PlatiNet Communications.
