Partner halving night-owl rates for a month

Company's move follows last week's late-night rate cut by Bezeq

Israeli mobile communications operator Partner Communications (Nasdaq, TASE:PTNR, LSE:PCCD)

is halving its rates between 21:30 to 06:00, from today through to September 1.

The rate break applies to all subscribers.

Partner's move follows a campaign by the state-run phone company Bezeq to lower its off-peak rates, announced last week.

Bezeq announced three special deals for night-owl callers rates last week. While Bezeq's campaigns will last from three to six months, Partner has decided to test the efficacy of its rate cut over a month.

Just two weeks ago Partner, which operates using the orange brand, decided to boost its rates by 10% on average, with outgoing calls to competing cellular operators rising by 20%.
