Parametric Technology

(PMTC)

lost 12% this week after the company reported revenue of $185 million for the second quarter ended March 30. In the same quarter a year ago, the engineering software maker posted a top line of $246.5 million. Excluding items, the company lost 2 cents a share for the quarter, reversing a pro forma profit of 9 cents in the year-earlier period. Even though Parametric warned in March that its financial results would fall short of estimates, shareholders still unloaded the stock following the actual quarterly report.
