expects second-quarter earnings and revenue to fall below its internal expectations because of the company's inability to close all of the sales contracts expected in the quarter.

The software and content management provider expects second-quarter earnings of 1 cent to 3 cents a diluted share, excluding $2 million in costs from the amortization of intangible assets. The company also said it expects revenue for the second quarter ended Sept. 30 of $12.5 million to $12.7 million. The company didn't disclose its original expectations.

The company reported earnings of $1.3 million, or 7 cents a share, on revenue of $11.3 million, in the year-ago second quarter.

Shares of Novadigm recently traded down $2.88, or 23%, to $9.50.
