Mobile phone giant Nokia (NOK) - Get Report was up 0.9% in midmorning. Credit Suisse First Boston said the company's CEO, Jorma Ollila, gave a "confident and reassuring" presentation to investors in London this morning, reiterating its timetable for future generations of products.

CSFB said Ollila also disputed the idea that handsets will become commodities.

Other stocks in the sector were lower.
