, the Japanese maker of the Wii game console, said profit in the April to December period fell 9.4% as sales declined 23%.

Nintendo said profit for the nine-months period was 192.6 billion yen ($2.13 billion), down from 212.5 billion yen a year earlier. Sales fell to 1.18 trillion yen. Operating profit was 296.7 billion yen, down 41%.
