Bloch, an 18-year veteran of Motorola, was most recently the vice president and general manager for its telecom carrier solutions group in Israel. The companies formed Invisix in 1999 to create the technology for integrating data, voice and video services for mobile networks.
Separately, networking company Cisco, which is based in San Jose, Calif., said it completed the acquisition of
Radiata
, a privately held supplier of chipsets for high-speed wireless networks.
Shares of Cisco recently slipped $1.25, or 3.5%, to $34.19 on the
Nasdaq
, while Motorola, Schaumburg, Ill., lost 52 cents, or 2.4%, to $20.81 on the Big Board.
