Web site Sunday, cited anonymous sources familiar with the matter.

Earlier this week,

the Journal reported that the two companies were in talks

on such a sale.

Motorola is in the process of splitting into two companies -- one for networking equipment, the other for mobile phones and TV set-top boxes.
