Fremont, Calif. (TheStreet) -- Tesla (TSLA) - Get Report is unveiling the Model X, and the carmaker seeks to do to the SUV what it did to the car after introducing the Model S -- change the game.

Full pricing for the Model X has not been announced, yet we've gotten some details on it already. The Signature Series, Tesla's fully-loaded version of the Model X, will cost $132,000, slightly more than a comparable Model S.

The Model S in "Insane Mode" goes from zero to 60 in 3.3 seconds, though the even faster "Ludicrous Mode" allows the award-winning sedan to go from zero to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. The Model X is expected to have a zero to 60 time of around three seconds, perhaps less, as it will offer Ludicrous Mode.

As with the Model S, the Model X will have what Tesla calls "a stylish combination of premium interior surfaces and panoramic glass."

The Tesla Touchscreen will also be available in the Model X, as it is in the Model S. The touchscreen, which looks like an enormous iPad, offers a wide range of entertainment and information options.
