The companies didn't disclose specific financial terms of the deal, which allows FleetBoston to use MicroStrategy's technology for customer relationship management. FleetBoston will also be able to view a customer's history of transactions and will use the software to enhance its corporate client relationships.
Shares of MicroStrategy gained 38 cents, or 2.4%, to $16.25 in recent
trading. FleetBoston rose 9 cents, or 0.2%, to $42.08 in afternoon trading on the Big Board.
