The firm is removing

Adobe Systems

from the techfolio, a collection of the firm's favorite technology stocks, and replacing it with

SAP

(SAP) - Get SAP SE Sponsored ADR Report

. Merrill Lynch said it was taking Adobe out because the company has been "acting poorly after initially doing quite well for us."

Shares of SAP gained $3.81, or 9.5%, to $43.81 in recent

New York Stock Exchange

trading. Adobe rose $4.06, or 8.9%, to $49.88 on the

Nasdaq
