JDS Uniphase Sees Lower Sales Through March

reaffirmed its previously lowered guidance, saying it still expects sales for the second quarter to be 10% to 15% below the $329 million reported for the first quarter.
The company also said it expects sales to continue to decline through March, falling 10% to 15% below the December quarter. According to a press release, the company said it expects March to be the low point in the current downturn.
Shares of JDS Uniphase were recently trading down 5.5% to $9.95 in Instinet premarket trading after closing at $10.53 Friday, down from a 52-week high of $76.63.
