sold the majority of its stake in
Evans & Sutherland
and now owns less than 5% of the hardware and software producer, according to a filing with the
Securities and Exchange Commission
The filing indicates that Intel sold 903,666 shares of Evans & Sutherland on Feb. 5 for $7.38 each, lowering the Santa Clara, Calif., chipmaker's stake in the company to 378,462 shares, representing a 3.73% interest. Intel previously owned more than 11% of Evans & Sutherland.
Shares of Intel gained 69 cents, or 2.3%, to $30.25 in recent
trading. Evans & Sutherland, which is based in Salt Lake City, was unchanged at $7.56.
