IBM Recalls ThinkPad Batteries

Add Big Blue to the Sony battery recall list, which includes Apple and Dell.

Lenovo, which purchased IBM's personal computer business, cited a potential risk after one confirmed report of a Sony battery overheating and causing a fire that damaged the notebook computer while its owner was boarding a plane at Los Angeles International Airport.

Shares of Sony were recently off 33 cents to $41.18; IBM shares were off a penny to $82.08.
