is close to naming a successor to Mark Hurd as CEO, and is leaning toward an internal candidate, a report says.

, citing a person familiar with the matter, reports the short list includes Vyomesh Joshi, who runs HP's printer business; Todd Bradley, head of the personal-computer division; Dave Donatelli, who runs the storage and server unit; Tom Hogan, executive vice president of enterprise sales and marketing; and Ann Livermore, executive vice president of the enterprise business.

A decision on a new CEO could be announced in the coming week, the person told

Cathie Lesjak, HP's chief financial officer, who has served as interim CEO since Hurd left in early August, said she doesn't want the CEO job.

Hurd left HP

after he violated the company's trust and ethics guidelines but he was soon snapped up by

which announced it named Hurd a company president. That brought a lawsuit from HP.
