Homestore, Thousand Oaks, Calif., will acquire San Francisco-based move.com for about 26.3 million shares in an all-stock transaction.
Homestore.com will integrate move.com and its related assets including Rent Net, a Web-based rental listing and apartment finder service, into its network. Homestore.com will also have exclusive 40-year access to the listings of Cendant's Century 21, Coldwell Banker and ERA real estate franchises. Cendant has also agreed to purchase Homestore.com's technology and Web-based marketing products and services.
Homestore expects to complete the acquisition within the next six months.
