
Google TV To Be Delayed: Report

has asked TV makers to delay their introductions of sets featuring new software so it can make refinements, the

reports, citing people familiar with the company's plans.
The new software, which adds Web video and other computer smarts to TV sets, has received a lukewarm reception, the
Times
reports.
Google already has a deal with
Sony

for its Internet TVs. But other TV makers such as
Toshiba

LG Electronics
and
Sharp
were expected to unveil their versions of the systems at next month's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The late request from Google caught some TV makers off guard, the
Times
notes.
Samsung
now appears set to be the only new entrant to the Google TV market at the show, the

reports, citing people familiar with the company's plan.
