*Extra* Compaq's Top 2 Leaders Resign
Eckhard Pfeiffer and Earl Mason are out. Chairman Ben Rosen and two others are in.
For the second time in two weeks,
Compaq
(CPQ)
has shocked the investment world.
The world's largest personal computer maker said in a statement this afternoon that CEO Eckhard Pfeiffer and CFO Earl Mason had resigned. Compaq's board named Chairman Ben Rosen and two vice chairmen -- Frank Doyle and Robert Ted Enloe III -- to a three-man office of the chief executive.
