has put the finishing touches on a series of GSM expansion contracts with

China Mobile Communications

that are collectively worth more than $550 million.

The contracts cover expansion projects in 17 regions. Ericsson will provide China Mobile with core and radio networks, along with related technical support and services.

When the projects are completed, the network equipment will be able to support up to 200 million subscribers, Ericsson said. Deliveries have already started.

Ericsson was up 22 cents to $29.66 in premarket trading Monday.
