will trade under ticker ERIC starting Thursday.
The Stockholm-based wireless infrastructure company said it made the change from the previous ERICY ticker as
prepares to switch to a four-letter ticker platform. Last year the exchange dropped its requirement that American depositary receipts carry a Y suffix.
Nasdaq told Ericsson the four-letter platform will "enhance the resiliency of the U.S. capital markets by enabling Nasdaq to provide full disaster recovery capabilities for all NYSE- and AMEX-listed securities."
Ericsson has been listed on Nasdaq since 1978.
