Emblaze (LSE:BLZ) continues to recruit, flouting the trend among slimming hi-tech companies.
Emblaze has recruited 200 people in the last year, bringing its total workforce to 400.
VP Human Resources Boaz Shalit said the pace has been to hire 20 people a month, and that it intends to bring in another 20 by year-end. He added that the demand for projects is double expectations, necessitating the expansion in staff.
Among its vacancies Emblaze are radio frequency and hardware engineers, RF systems integration engineers, project management engineers, and marketing project managers.
Emblaze develops technology to transmit video files over cellular networks using hardware and software that is installed at the service provider.
For the first half Emblaze reported $18.6 million sales, 47% more than in the parallel period of last year. Net loss deepened to $6.25 million, compared with $3.9 million for the first half of 2000.
The company said that the loss had been anticipated as it built its brandname and marketing.
