Elon Musk is waiting on regulatory approval for Boring Co.'s first tunnel.

Grimes's boyfriend is determined to stay in the news.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk unveiled his Boring Co.'s underground tunnel in L.A.'s South Bay in an Instagram post on Friday.

The snapshot shows the inside of the tunnel beneath Hawthorne, Calif. Musk said the tunnel is "almost done" and that it's "pending final regulatory approvals."

This tunnel is the first of a larger plan to introduce faster, underground mass transit from Boring Co. The company has three other tunnel plans in Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Musk said once the test tunnel is complete, "demo rides will be free."

When the tunnel becomes fully public, Musk added, "the system will always give priority to pods for pedestrians and cyclists for less than the cost of a bus ticket."
