ECI Telecom

(Nasdaq:ECIL) last week announced a tender to sell off control (51%) in its information technology division,

ECI has incorporated the division as an independent legal unit, ahead of selling it.

IBM Corporation

(NYSE:IBM),

Electronic Data Systems

(NYSE, LSE:EDS),

Ness Technologies

and ForSoft of the

Formula Group

have been inquiring about buying the ECI IT division,

ECI's IT division employs 200 workers. The division is responsible for providing computing services to the ECI group. According to

, the company will continue to provide computing services to each of the five companies to split off from ECI under a three-year agreement.
