Internet auction kingpin
is raising some of the prices for its Canadian operation that will affect items listed in U.S. dollars.
Effective Jan. 31,
is increasing insertion fees for all items listed in U.S. dollars and adding a charge to the 10-day listing option for all items listed in greenbacks. Items listed in Canadian dollars won't be affected by the fee changes. Final value fees, other feature fees and insertion fees for vehicles and real estate remain unchanged.
The insertion fee increases will range from 5 cents to $1.30, depending on the opening value or reserve price of the item up for bid.
The company, which is based in San Jose, Calif., said a new 10-cent fee will be implemented for the 10-day listing option for all items listed in U.S. dollars through eBay Canada. The three-day, five-day and seven-day auctions won't have an additional fee.
