Discount Investments asks court to appoint CPA Suary trustee of Tevel
Major shareholder hopes to convince court it will not conceal assets in attempts to avoid payments to creditors
Discount Investment Corporation is asking the court to appoint leading accountant Itzhak Suary as a trustee on behalf of the court in local equipment supplier Netcom's petition to liquidate cable company Tevel, Ma'ariv reports.
Discount Investments believes that appointing Suary as trustee will demonstrate that the shareholders do not intend to attempt to conceal assets, and that they intend to meet all their commitments to creditors.
Like other local cable firms, Tevel is facing heavy debt problems including unpaid bills to Netcom.
