said finance chief Dan Kinsella will leave to take a job with a local technology startup.
The Minneapolis-based information storage architecture company said Denise Westenfield, the company's corporate controller, will serve as Datalink's acting CFO until a replacement is selected.
"Returning to a company in start-up mode is the right thing for me at this stage of my career," Kinsella said. "It is difficult to leave a company with as much potential as Datalink. However, I know that this move comes at a time when the company is financially and operationally strong."
Datalink said it has begun the search for Kinsella's replacement and that it continues to expect fourth-quarter earnings per share and revenue to rise from a year ago.
Datalink also named Gregory T. Barnum to its board. On Tuesday, its shares were flat at $3.88.
