CNet's Briggs to Resign
The COO will step down Jan. 12.

said President and Chief Operating Officer Barry Briggs has decided to resign from his position to pursue personal and other business interests.
Briggs' resignation will be effective Jan. 12. The Internet publisher doesn't have plans to fill the role at this time. Briggs joined CNet in 2000 following the company's acquisition of ZDNet, where he served as president.
