Chairman Craig McCaw has resigned.
McCaw founded Clearwire in October 2003 and served as chairman for more than 5 years. He served as the company's chief executive officer from 2003 to 2006. He was appointed chairman again in 2008 when the company entered into a joint venture with
"Mr. McCaw's decision to resign is not due to any disagreements with the Company on any matters relating to the Company's operations, policies, or practices," said the company in a regulatory filing.
In November, Clearwire failed to get its partners Sprint,
to invest more money in its network expansion bid and now said it was cutting staff, delaying new market launches and looking for alternate sources of funding.
