The company expects to earn 32 cents a share, which is in line with the consensus estimate compiled by
Thomson Financial/First Call
. The company earned 17 cents in the year-ago period.
However, Check Point forecast revenue for the quarter of $140 million to $142 million, which is shy of the $149.5 million analysts are expecting. The company posted a top line of $90.7 million in the second quarter last year.
Check Point will report second-quarter results before the market opens on July 23.
