Bolstering suspicions that
plans to go public, the social networker said Tuesday it hoped to replace outgoing Chief Financial Officer Gideon Yu with someone who has experience at a public company, the AP reports.
Yu, who came to Facebook in 2007 after working at
and YouTube, the sale of which he negotiated with
, also had been CFO of NightFire Software (acquired by
) and had worked at
DLJ / CSFB
, according to Facebook's executive profile page.
According to the AP, Facebook praised Yu's performance and said the company is well-positioned to grow.
