CacheFlow (CFLO) plans to acquire privately held Entera, a provider of streaming content technologies based in Fremont, Calif., for about $440 million in stock.

CacheFlow, a Sunnyvale, Calif., maker of products designed to manage Internet content, said the acquisition of Entera will be accounted for as a purchase. CacheFlow expects to close the acquisition in the third fiscal quarter.
