Cabinet approves budget amendments with one-vote majority

The cabinet approved by a one-vote majority the Finance Ministry's changes to the 2002 State Budget, primarily the NIS 6.15 billion budget cut.

Fourteen ministers voted in favor while thirteen voted against.

The new budget is designed to meet fiscal constrainsts imposed by lower-than-expected growth.
