C-Cor Cutting Jobs

It will move a Silicon Valley plant south of the border.

says it will cut 225 jobs, close its Sunnyvale, Calif., facility and move some operations to Tijuana, Mexico.

The State College, Pa., cable networking shop, which saw its shares fall by half last year, says the move is part of a realignment that will help trim about $26 million in quarterly expenses in fiscal 2007.

The company plans to take about $13.5 million in impairment and restructuring charges this year related to consolidation and the shift to Mexico.

C-Cor shares closed up 18 cents to $5.04 Tuesday.
