climbed 7% in midmorning after the company said its CEO would reaffirm guidance in a conference call this morning.
BEA's stock hit a 52-week low Thursday on reports that
would offer its iPlanet application server software bundled with its Solaris machine. Sun later denied that it will offer iPlanet free with its machines.
The two companies are partners, and a large chunk of BEA's business is application server software for Sun devices. Sun fell 1.3%.
