Dell Vice Chairman James Vanderslice told investors Tuesday at the
Banc of America Securities Investment Conference
here that the boxmaker continues to expect strong growth. Vanderslice said Dell sees 18% growth in PC sales in its fiscal third quarter, which ends in October. He also described PC demand as strong in the short and long term.
Dell has been shielded from the softness thanks to its lack of exposure to bargain-basement priced PCs, which have seen weakness.
