, the maker of the design software AutoCAD, acquired certain assets of Engineering Intent, a privately held seller of software for manufacturers.

Financial terms of the acquisition weren't disclosed, Autodesk, of San Rafael, Calif., said Wednesday.

Engineering Intent's software is designed to help shorten manufacturers' sales cycles. The company is based in Waltham, Mass.

Shares of Autodesk were unchanged at $42.10.
