AT&T Unveils Combined Internet Access, Long-Distance Package

is introducing a new offering that includes both Internet access and long-distance telephone service.

service. Additionally, users will be charged seven cents a minute on state-to-state long-distance calls. The monthly fee is $7, and both services will be combined on one bill.
AT&T said the new offering will "set the stage" for the future deployment of multiple forms of communications packages.
Shares of AT&T gained 62 cents, or 2.7%, to $24 in recent
New York Stock Exchange
