shares were trading up 13.3% in Instinet premarket action after
announced it would offer the company's business-to-business purchasing software over the Internet as a pay service.
The Quick Start software allows businesses to purchase supplies and other basic goods from suppliers at lower costs and more quickly than traditional methods.
Ariba was recently up 65 cents to $5.55 on Instinet after closing at $4.90 Thursday on Nasdaq. In the past year, shares of Ariba have traded as high as $59.23.
